The vampire Rix has always been on the run.

What if vampires lurk in the shadows of present‐day Seattle? Stalking the darkness of Cal Anderson Park late at night? Silently pursuing unsuspecting joggers on twilight runs through Woodland Park? How do they blend in, concealing their true nature from mortal eyes? Would we even recognize their presence among us?

Genres: slice of life / dark literary / new weird.

How safe are the vampires who lurk in the shadows of contemporary Seattle? Besides facing the challenges of finding enough victims to sustain them during COVID spikes and lockdowns, Seattle's vampires need to keep looking over their shoulders to avoid being abducted by the mysterious men in riot gear.
